‘Hot Tub Time Machine 2’ Review: Pete Hammond Wants A Time Machine To Get His 93 Minutes Back

It’s not like we have been begging for a sequel to Hot Tub Time Machine, but now five years later we’ve got one. And quite frankly it wasn’t exactly worth the wait. In fact Hot Tub Time Machine 2  fails miserably because, putting it simply enough, it’s just not funny. Not even close. And with the loss of the main reason for seeing the first one, its star John Cusack (who just shows up here in a couple of photographs), we are left with one of the most annoying quartets of actors to hit the screen in a long time. This is not to say that Craig Robinson or new cast addition Adam Scott aren’t terrifically talented and wonderful comedians on their own. Sadly they just can’t overcome material where nearly every joke revolves around the groin. Oy. Does this thing just wear you out.
