26-year-old wins first UFC fight by knockout, then immediately retires

out like a legend though

For The Win

Frankie Perez, 26, won his first UFC fight on Sunday night with a spectacular knockout of Sam Stout.

Moments after the fight, however, Perez retired from the sport, saying he could no longer put his family or his body through it anymore.

Perez had fought in UFC once before, though the fight ended in a loss. Perez said in that fight he had been distracted by deaths in his family, even going as far to say he “wasn’t ready to fight.”
