Undefeated UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was originally scheduled to fight former boxer Holly Holm at UFC 195 in January, but UFC president Dana White announced Friday that the bout has been moved to November 14th in Australia. The Rousey fight will replace Robbie Lawler versus Carlos Condit, which was postponed after Lawler suffered a thumb injury. Instead of fighting in Las Vegas, Rousey will enter the octagon inside the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, which seats 90,000.
During an appearance on SportsCenter, White didn’t mention the injury to Lawler, and almost giddy over the prospect of breaking the UFC’s attendance record.
